Today me and Karen's family went tobogganing. It was really fun, but Karen found it alright only.
If u don't know what is tobogganing, it is sliding down a snowy slope with a plastic sled(which we hired for AU$8). It was real fun. Our destination was Lake Mountain. We went at 9.30am and reached at 11.30am. We ate lunch at a public shelter, it was indoors and it was heated with tables and chairs in it.
Then we prepared ourselves for the tobogganing. We toboggan till 3pm. Went indoors for a while and ate some snacks and drank some drink. Then me, Karen and Raymond(Karen's younger brother) went and play snow. It was basically a snow fight. If you haven't seen snow, it is basically like the ice they use for ice kacang.
Sadly we didn't take any photos, the scenery to the mountain was fabulous. There were lots of tall tall tress at the edge of the road. At the start of the year, in summer, the town there(Marisville) was one of the towns hit by the terrible bush fire. The Black Saturday so called, that summer's huge bush fire killed 200 lives. Which is a lot for Australia. Yeah, back to the scenery, the trees had black trunks but some leaves were starting to grow out of them. That is the natural state of Australia. Very dry, bush fire hit, the trees die then only will the seeds grow. According to what I know, native trees' seeds will only germinate after a fire. That was not what happen at the bush fires. Though quite a few trees fell, but a lot were still let standing. And back to the scenery, I am more of a person who like natural beauty and the nature's beauty. Some people might find me weird, but that is me. The scenery might be boring to other people, but the scenery was fabulous to me.
That it for today. School will reopen on Monday. Times fly when you have fun.
